Ping & reaction time

We measure the response latency from your browser to our servers.

This measures latency to GANVAS servers — browsers can't ping arbitrary hosts (CORS restriction). Real game and app ping depends on the target server.

A closer server means lower latency. Connect to GANVAS VPN →

What is ping

Ping is the round-trip time for a signal to reach a server and come back, in milliseconds. Low ping matters for gaming, video calls and overall responsiveness. We take several samples and show the minimum, average and jitter (variation).

VPN and ping

A nearby VPN server can lower latency to some resources, a distant one can raise it. Pick a close server in GANVAS VPN and measure speed.

FAQ

Can I ping any website?

Not from the browser: for security reasons (CORS) the test measures latency to our servers. It reflects your connection's responsiveness.

What is jitter?

It's the variation in latency between samples. Low jitter = a stable connection, which matters for calls and gaming.
